ABOUT Zelma Denise
Zelma Denise is Creatrix, an Artist, Full Mesa Holder Shaman, Psychic Medium, Energy Intuitive, Meditation Facilitator and children’s book author.
Zelma Denise has brought together her artistic and mediumship skills to serve others through her popular Spirit Portraits. Zelma Denise is known for her quick sketches that are co-created with Spirit to bring both visual and written messages that help rejuvenate, guide, comfort and aid others along their path.
In Private Sessions, development classes, and Meditation Groups Zelma Denise facilitates connection and co-creation in every facet of life. As a Full Mesa Holder in Shamanic practices of the Q’ero people and Level Ten graduate of the Arcturian Healing Method, Zelma Denise lovingly and skillfully promotes multi-dimensional living and wholeness in every Private Session.
In addition to Spirit Portraits and working privately with clients, Zelma Denise is an exhibiting artist who works in many kinds of media including pastel, charcoal, graphite, oils, water media, fiber, art quilts, fiber constructions and stitching, hand-made papers, printmaking and a combination of all of the above. Zelma Denise has exhibited in solo and group art shows; most recently a solo exhibit, Mandorla was held at the Anchorage International Gallery of Contemporary Art. Her work has been juried into national and international exhibits, while also collecting many invitations to participate in exhibits. Her work has been selected for public as well as private collections and is the recipient of many awards.
Zelma Denise has also acted as curator for other artists works in groups and individual retrospectives. She was selected for inclusion in the International Contemporary Ex Libris Artists, volume 12 published in Portuguese, English and French. Denise holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking and drawing from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Zelma Denise writes about her experiences as an artistic medium and other subjects in her blog Embrace the Mystery. She is a certified Master Gardener, holds multiple Volunteer Appreciation Certificates and has an expired Hazardous Materials Handling permit.

She spends her time between Alaska and Colorado with her family. When she’s not meditating or creating she is usually in her garden, which when you think about it is a combination of meditating and creating!
